Smooth As The ‘60s

A barrel-shaped cushion case with a round opening plays up the retro charm on this smooth update to our ‘60s Marlin. Finished with vertical brushing on its top and fitted with a polished bezel, the case is crafted of stainless steel and modestly sized at 37mm. On the case back, an exhibition window allows for a view of the automatic movement ticking inside, complete with a quick date function that makes it easier to set the day and date window at 3 o’clock. And on the clean dial, luminant hands and markers make it easier to read the time when the lights are low. We’ve topped off this suave timepiece with a flat mineral glass crystal and paired it with a fully brushed stainless-steel bracelet complete with quick-release spring bars and a butterfly clasp for a secure fit and seamless transition from bracelet to clasp on the wrist.

Mechanical Automatic Movement

Automatic watches have no battery. Instead, these ""self winding"" movements use the natural movement of your wrist as a power source.

Mechanical Automatic

Powered by You

A mechanical automatic movement winds itself using the natural motion of your wrist — a rotor inside spins as you move, storing energy in a mainspring. This spring slowly releases power through a precise series of gears and an escapement, driving the hands in a smooth, sweeping motion. It’s a self-sustaining engine, no battery required. When worn daily, it stays powered continuously — keeping perfect time without needing to be reset.

Mineral Crystal

A toughened glass made from silica that's heat- and scratch-resistant, offering clear visibility and solid everyday durability.

Mineral Glass

Enhanced durability

Mineral crystals use a similar material to windowpane glass and were developed for watches as a harder alternative to acrylic. Mineral crystals are still susceptible to scratches but less so than acrylic, however it is not possible to buff out these scratches as it is with acrylic. Mineral glass is not as shatter resistant as acrylic but does offer greater transparency and clarity. Due to their improved scratch resistance versus acrylic, and improved shatter resistance versus sapphire, mineral is often considered to be the best of both worlds as a crystal material.

Our Mid-Century Icon

The original Marlin watches first stepped into the spotlight in the 1950s and matured into a centerpiece of Timex’s broader collection in the 1960s. Today's Marlin collection draws inspiration from that era, pulling both from Timex archives and '60s culture more generally.

Smooth as the ‘60s

Marlin is pure 1960s cool, delivering substance and style in equal measure, with unwavering swagger. Timeless and sophisticated, it's a watch that captures the best of the past while continuing to push Timex’s legacy of style, disruption, and quality into the future.
