Our Marlin Jet captures futuristic design ideals of the ‘60s with understated details and a sleek 38mm brushed stainless-steel case. However, its most defining feature is the domed crystal. Made from Hesalite—a refined form of acrylic favored for its clarity and ease of maintenance—the crystal covers the entire top surface of the watch case, enveloping the grooved bezel bearing the Marlin name and bringing captivating depth to the watch's retro-futuristic appearance. It blends seamlessly into the flat case sides, leaving only the lugs exposed. The case sides smoothly transition to a screwed-on exhibition case back that mirrors the crystal’s domed contour, enhancing the watch’s streamlined profile and space-age aesthetics. You’ll find a concentric circle pattern in three key locations on this timepiece: beneath the dome on the inner bezel, on the crown, and on the case back. The black, green, or blue matte concave dial showcases a crosshair pattern punctuated with a date window beside the 3 o’clock marker. I'm really enjoying this watch!
"I'm really enjoying this watch! I love how the crystal covers the entire top of the watch, it feels very Space Age. The size makes it easily wearable and I find I've reached for it over my other watches a lot since getting it! I ordered a leather strap to replace the stock one so the movement would be more easily visible, but found that I didn't mind the cloth strap as much as I thought I would. It seems like it will soften with time and was easily adjustable. Another reviewer commented on the loud automatic winding. It's certainly audible in quiet environments, but it hasn't been overly loud in my experience."
"Although it looks nice, the feel of this watch is very cheap. The crystal feels like plastic and the motion works makes a very loud ratcheting sound as the rotor turns. It's a pretty watch with a few nice details but I don't think I'll be wearing it very often with that infuriating noise."
