It is a softer material that can be more prone to scratches but conversely is very shatter-resistant. Given its softness any scratches though can be buffed out. Acrylic lens are synonymous with vintage-inspired timepieces and thus can be found on our Marlin and Q Timex collections.

"Really impressed with this watch in so many ways. Nice size, weight and thickness for my smaller wrists, easy to read matte black dial, easy to wind movement, the first comfortable fabric strap I’ve ever owned. I also like the acrylic crystal because it doesn’t cause any glare unlike sapphire crystals without anti-reflective coating, and future scratches, unlike mineral crystals, can easily be removed with sandpaper and Polywatch. Looks wise it very much reminds me of my previous Hammy Khaki Field Automatic but price wise costing less than half. It will be interesting to see how well the movement holds up."
